About The Role
G2 is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to grow measurable traffic, citations, and conversions across its marketplace and web properties.
You will work across multiple SEO and AEO disciplines including:
- Technical SEO optimization
- Schema implementation
- Keyword strategy
- Content optimization
- Experimentation and performance analysis
This role involves close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Content, and Analytics teams to drive measurable impact.
📍 Location: Bengaluru (2 days/week in-office)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute high-impact SEO initiatives
- Drive global website traffic through localization strategies
- Own keyword strategy for learn.g2.com and g2.com
- Improve organic and LLM-driven traffic through experimentation
- Conduct keyword research and prompt mapping strategies
- Perform competitive SEO and AEO analysis
- Implement technical SEO recommendations at scale
- Optimize internal linking, site speed, and on-page content
- Mentor junior SEO specialists
- Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for technical SEO and AEO
How You’ll Spend Time
Search infrastructure & crawl systems (20%)
Improve technical foundation for search engine discoverability through audits and crawl/index optimization.
AEO & answer systems (20%)
Improve visibility in AI-driven search and LLM ecosystems.
On-page SEO systems (20%)
Improve rankings and authority across key page templates.
Strategy & experimentation (20%)
Run experiments, analyze performance, and identify growth opportunities.
Global SEO (10%)
Support international SEO and localization strategies.
Mentorship & SME role (10%)
Guide team members and establish SEO best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven SEO experience
- Strong SEO data analysis skills using Excel or similar tools
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Profound, STAT
- Strong technical SEO expertise on enterprise-scale websites
- Experience implementing structured data (schema markup)
- Ability to manage multiple SEO/AEO initiatives simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Active participation in SEO community and industry trends
Nice to Have
- Experience with SaaS or marketplace platforms
- International SEO & hreflang knowledge
- Experience with LLM-driven search optimization
- Log file analysis and crawl budget optimization experience
- A/B testing experience for SEO or content optimization
- Programmatic SEO and taxonomy architecture experience
